Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolNikolay Gagarinov is a software engineer and mentor with 11 years of hands-on experience building practical, maintainable systems and coaching other developers. Currently mentoring at Hexlet, he blends real-world production experience from Xsolla and ООО "Юникорн" with a talent for explaining complex concepts clearly. Based in Perm, Russia, he focuses on reliable engineering practices—an approach hinted at by his wry GitHub motto that the surest way to avoid bugs is not to write code. Trained in accounting, he brings an analytical, detail-oriented perspective to software design and code review. Nikolay is comfortable across the development lifecycle and prioritizes developer education and reproducible, low-surprise implementations.
