Top SchoolNikolay Ivanov is a Senior Back End Developer based in Sofia with 10 years of hands-on experience building HR and web-based systems using Java, Groovy/Grails, Spring, and modern JavaScript frameworks. He has delivered monolithic and distributed services at companies like UKG, Next Solutions Bulgaria, and A1 Bulgaria, working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and service discovery tooling. Comfortable both as an individual contributor and a team player, he pairs a disciplined, curious work ethic with a steady record of maintaining reliable production systems. His background spans full-stack work (Vue/React, Storybook) and real-time/websocket systems from game tech to enterprise HR software, reflecting adaptability across domains. Unusually for a senior engineer, he also brings non‑technical leadership experience—managing LED lighting projects and customs operations—which sharpens his practical problem-solving and stakeholder communication.
