Top SchoolNikos Apostolakis is an NTN software engineer based in Madrid with a decade of experience spanning research and industry in 5G, NFV/SDN and telecom software. He combines deep academic credentials—a PhD track in Telematic Engineering—with hands-on delivery at companies including NVIDIA, Intracom and IMDEA Networks, where he accelerated LDPC decoding, built an AI/RL 5G MAC scheduler for 99.99% reliability, and developed a quantum-compatible decoder that advanced state-of-the-art performance. Comfortable across C/C++/Java and systems-level optimization, he has reduced latency by 50% in AVX-512 pipelines and led interoperability test successes for production network management. Now focused on NTN software, he brings a research-driven pragmatism that repeatedly turns novel algorithms into robust, deployable systems.
