Top SchoolNimi Tekena-lawson is an Engineering Manager based in London with over a decade of hands-on experience building and shipping web products across payments, fintech, and consumer platforms. She moved from front-end development and optimization roles into technical leadership at companies like Interswitch, Noah, Cloudflare and now GoCardless, where she blends product discovery with pragmatic engineering roadmaps. Nimi excels at improving developer experience and operational standards—leading migrations of legacy codebases, documenting workflows, and introducing CI/CD and tooling that raised developer NPS. Her background spans full-stack JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystems, A/B testing and JAMstack, with particular strength in translating stakeholder discovery into measurable business impact. Trained in software engineering management at Durham University, she pairs technical depth with a customer-focused mindset that reduces time-to-value for complex features. Colleagues would point to her knack for turning partner interviews into high-impact engineering OKRs as a distinguishing, behind-the-scenes skill.
