Top SchoolNishant Patil is a software engineer with 10 years of experience building cloud-native systems, currently contributing to Outshift by Cisco and Cisco's Cloud Native Application Platform. He focuses on connectivity, security, observability, and streaming for modern microservices, and has worked on both open-source projects like Istio Operator, Cluster Registry, and Cert-Manager and product efforts such as Calitsi.app and Workload Connectivity Manager. Prior to Cisco he worked on high-performance packet forwarding at Juniper Networks, giving him deep exposure to networking internals and telemetry pipelines. His background includes hands-on telemetry, GPB decoding, and analytics integrations—skills that surface in production-grade observability and cross-cluster connectivity solutions. Based in San Jose, he pairs systems-level networking knowledge with cloud-native engineering to solve distributed connectivity challenges across multi-region AWS clusters. An early project in AR and 3D rendering hints at a longstanding curiosity for applying low-level graphics and real-time processing techniques to practical products.
