CEO at Various Startups

Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolNoel Moldvai is a CEO and engineer-product hybrid with 13 years of experience building and architecting software across startups and large tech companies. Based in Austin, he scaled from hands-on roles at Google and Rubrik—rising from software engineer to architect—into leadership and founding roles, now running Augment and advising/investing in early-stage startups. His background in EECS from UC Berkeley and early astrophysics research reflects a quantitative, systems-first approach to product problems. Noel blends product intuition with deep technical chops, often acting as the mechanic who ships prototypes and then hardens them for scale. He is comfortable across the stack and across stages, from individual contributor code to CEO-level strategy. An intriguing throughline is his transition during the COVID era into founder/investor work, showing adaptability and a preference for building companies rather than just features.
