Top SchoolNora Trapp is an experienced software engineer with seven years building secure, user-focused mobile and systems software, currently working in the Applied Social Media Lab at Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center. She has led iOS efforts at Signal—contributing to a high-profile private messaging app and integrating privacy-preserving libraries like MobileCoin—and served as Technical Lead and iOS Lead across privacy-focused projects. As a founding engineer at Juicebox she combined cryptography, programmable HSMs, and UX design to simplify end-to-end encryption key recovery. Nora pairs product-minded mobile development (featured apps and HIPAA-compliant architectures at Joyable) with long-standing community leadership in maker and hacker spaces, including co-founding Cape Cod Makers and leading Double Union. Comfortable at the intersection of privacy, embedded systems, and user experience, she brings a knack for turning complex security primitives into approachable user workflows.
