Top SchoolNuhil Mehdy is a Senior Staff Data Engineer and Ph.D. in Computing with 11 years of experience building production-grade ML, GenAI, and data platforms that prioritize scalability, observability, and explainability. He specializes in enterprise LLM infrastructure and agentic AI—designing RAG systems, multimodal retrieval, model tuning (LoRA/QLoRA), and multi-agent orchestration—primarily on Google Cloud (Vertex AI, GKE, Cloud Run). His background spans end-to-end MLOps, feature stores, model governance, and high-performance inference, with a track record of moving organizations from experimentation to trusted production systems. Prior roles include machine learning engineering at Micron where he delivered cloud-native pipelines that cut deployment time and maintenance costs, and research on privacy, anomaly detection, and interpretability during his PhD. Based in San Diego, he combines deep research experience with hands-on platform engineering and a practical focus on regulated, auditable AI deployments. An often-overlooked strength is his cross-domain fluency: he bridges data engineering, applied ML, and software engineering to turn complex data into actionable, explainable intelligence.
