Nuno Correia is an Associate Professor in Digital Transformation based in Tallinn, combining over two decades of teaching and research in media art, interaction design and multisensory user experience. He holds a PhD in New Media from Aalto University and led a Marie Curie–funded project on audiovisual user interfaces at Goldsmiths, reflecting a rare blend of rigorous HCI scholarship and creative practice. His work sits at the intersection of sound and music computing, ubiquitous computing and audiovisual performance, with projects showcased at festivals from SXSW to ISEA and publications at CHI, TEI and NIME. Nuno has bridged academia and industry—from Fjord design consultancy to EU Creative Europe–funded research—translating experimental prototypes into public-facing performances and tools. He founded and chairs the SIIDS symposium and contributes editorially to Baltic Screen Media Review, underscoring his role in shaping the field as both practitioner and curator. Notably, his background in international business and innovation management informs a pragmatic, cross-disciplinary approach to research-led creative technology.
