Senior🎓
Top SchoolNuno Frade is a Head of Data Security based in Amsterdam with over a decade of hands-on experience evolving from early web and multimedia programming to building secure, scalable backend systems. He blends a creative Industrial Design background and early BBS/ZX Spectrum roots with leadership roles across digital production, frontend engineering, and backend architecture for advertising, commerce, and logistics platforms. Nuno has led technical teams at agencies like Tribal DDB and Publicis One and returned to product-focused engineering at Vigour and DigiB, giving him a rare perspective across client-facing digital campaigns and enterprise-grade infrastructure. As founder of Frade Research BV and current Head of Data Security at Based, he combines entrepreneurship with practical security stewardship. He’s comfortable shipping across the stack—frontend, backend, and DevOps—and is known for translating ambiguous business needs into robust, production-ready systems. An early adopter of internet media technologies, he still carries that hacker curiosity into pragmatic security and platform design.
