Top SchoolNuno Moreira is an experienced energy executive and engineer with nine years in senior leadership and over two decades in academia and industry, currently serving as CEO of Grupo Dourogás and Presidente do Conselho de Energia da CIP. He chairs the IGU committee on natural gas industrial utilization and has led national initiatives bridging industry, policy and research, including roles at Sonorgás and GASNAM. Holding a PhD in Industrial Management and a mechanical engineering degree, he combines technical depth with strategic oversight in gas, biorefinery and energy transition projects. He also contributes to professional development as Coordenador de Especialização em Energia at the Ordem dos Engenheiros and as vice‑president of a biorefinery collaborative. Based in Portugal, he blends academic research experience with hands‑on operational leadership, often focusing on practical decarbonization pathways and industrial gas utilization. A less obvious strength is his long record as a university researcher and professor, which informs his ability to translate complex technical research into actionable industry strategies.
