Top SchoolOleh Holovko is a software engineer based in London with 11 years of experience building high-throughput backend systems and three years of formal leadership experience. He has led backend teams at fast-growing startups and enterprise-acquired companies, shipping large-scale migrations (Python REST to Go gRPC) and ML pipeline reworks that cut processing time 3x while supporting millions of daily operations. Known for pragmatic cost- and performance-focused decisions, he introduced CDN strategies and cloud optimizations that trimmed monthly bills by tens of thousands of dollars and rebuilt services to run with far fewer resources. His background includes designing hundreds of microservices and resilient billing and graph systems that handled spikes of thousands of operations per second. At Stripe now, he brings a blend of hands-on Go/Python engineering, observability and CI/CD practice-building, and a track record of mentoring engineers into leadership roles. An analytical problem-solver, he often pairs low-level efficiency gains with process improvements to deliver durable, measurable impact.
