Top SchoolOleksandr Ulianytskyi is a Senior Backend Engineer based in Kyiv with 16+ years building resilient Ruby/Rails systems for markets across Europe and the US. He excels at designing and shipping production APIs and data pipelines—recent projects include a Rails 7 BI API that ingests ClickHouse data and an AI-enabled chatbot testing service. Comfortable across backend, DevOps and architecture roles, he has modernized integrations (e.g., migrating AdWords to Google Ads gRPC) and built mailserver and billing platforms used like SendGrid/Mailgun alternatives. He pairs deep Rails expertise with practical infrastructure skills (Docker, AWS, Terraform) and a history of turning legacy monoliths into maintainable services. Unusually for a senior engineer, his academic background is in chemistry, reflecting a methodical, analytical approach to problem solving.
