Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolOliver Dain is a Production Engineer with 12 years of experience building scalable, reliable systems and infrastructure across networking and software domains. He blends deep systems-level expertise—from writing kernel drivers in C++ to crafting lightweight Lua mods—with hands-on production operations at Facebook and earlier leadership roles in security and networking. Comfortable across Linux distros (a noted Gentoo advocate) and the Microsoft ecosystem, he designs secure architectures, automates configuration, and champions BDD/TDD to keep quality high. His background spans routing/switching protocols and custom firewall platforms through to enterprise-grade C++ services, giving him rare cross-discipline fluency. Colleagues rely on him to balance long-term maintainability with pragmatic delivery, and he routinely moves between low-level engineering and strategic security stewardship. Outside the obvious, he frequently implements bespoke integrations (e.g., custom OpenVPN and networking plugins) that bridge operations and developer workflows.
