Summary
👤
SeniorOliver Earl is a UK-based software developer with a decade of experience building resilient backend and platform systems, currently operating the payment and subscription infrastructure at Overwolf/Tebex. He specialises in PHP/Laravel APIs, gateway integrations, and performance-sensitive payment flows, and has a track record of refactoring legacy systems into test-backed, maintainable modules. Previously he led major e-commerce rebuilds at Stickee and contributed production tooling and open-source libraries for linting, telemetry and logging. Outside commercial work he co-leads indie studio Petrobolos Games (authoring the Nimbus Engine and shipping Escape from Hong Kong) and volunteers on charity helpline software, reflecting a sustained interest in mental-health tech. A former computer science teacher, he brings pedagogical clarity to documentation and team knowledge-sharing, and balances engineering with side projects and a surprisingly eclectic mix of theology and pro wrestling.
