Oliver Hausdörfer is a PhD candidate based in Munich with a decade of hands-on experience building and teaching robotics and reinforcement learning systems, currently researching safety for complex robots at TUM and the Learning Systems and Robotics Lab. He combines academic rigor—from a Mechanical Engineering BSc to an MS in Robotics and a thesis at EPFL—with practical industry exposure at Bosch and Fraunhofer, applying Python, MATLAB, SQL and IoT tooling to production and R&D pipelines. As a teaching assistant he scaled programming exercises to cohorts of over 1,500 students, showing an ability to translate advanced concepts into effective pedagogy. Colleagues know him for pragmatic tooling (HTML-savvy and automation-focused) and for bridging control, perception and safety in robot learning workflows.
