Senior🎓
Top SchoolOliver Larsson is a PhD student in Distributed Systems at Umeå University and the current Student Council Chair at the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, combining deep academic research with leadership in the Swedish engineering student community. With a decade of software experience that began with Visual Basic at age eight, he has evolved into a full-stack developer comfortable with .NET and Blazor while researching autonomous distributed systems. His background includes industry work on billing and customer-management platforms and recurring summer development roles that matured into system redesign experience. Oliver balances teaching and research duties, has hands-on thesis experience with consultancy Omegapoint, and brings a persistent curiosity for new technologies that fuels both practical engineering and academic inquiry. An unexpected thread through his career is long-term continuity—years spent iterating on the same product line (NBS) while progressing into research leadership—demonstrating both depth and adaptability.
