Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolOlivia Julia is an energy engineer specializing in building renovation, combining a Master's in Energy Technologies and a Mechanical Engineering BSc from EPFL with six years of hands-on experience in energy modelling, optimisation and applied building physics. She has led research on passive radiative cooling for PVs and developed low-tech solar cookers tested in Ugandan refugee camps, demonstrating a strong blend of simulation skills and field‑oriented, low‑resource design. Her background includes Python-based optimisation work for Swissgrid’s long-term network planning and multiple teaching and communication roles, reflecting an ability to translate technical analysis into usable tools and clear guidance. Currently at Impact Living in Lausanne, she focuses on energy-efficient renovation while prioritizing sobriety and biodiversity in design choices. Comfortable working across research, consulting and community-facing roles, she brings curiosity, persistence and a practical mindset that favors locally appropriate, experimentally validated solutions.
