Top SchoolOmar Aqlan is a Product Owner and former Azure Architect with 12 years of experience building cloud-native platforms and data solutions, currently shaping product roadmaps at ABN AMRO from Utrecht. He blends hands-on Azure architecture and platform engineering—Databricks, Unity Catalog, IaC, DevOps pipelines—with product management to deliver scalable, secure analytics platforms like the bank’s ATLAS initiative. Known for troubleshooting complex cloud incidents (Databricks service principals, agent outages, ADLS ACLs) he pairs technical depth with a pragmatic focus on stability and cost optimization. His background spans end-to-end delivery from ETL/ELT and Event Hubs to PowerBI reporting, informed by a formal software engineering and data warehousing education. Colleagues describe him as a team-builder who treats engineering like a well-coordinated team sport, always hunting for useful new Azure features. He’s open to collaboration—“Let’s work together”—and brings a reliable blend of architecture, delivery discipline, and product empathy.
