Top SchoolOmar Shah is a Platform Engineer with nine years of experience building secure, scalable, and developer-friendly cloud platforms, currently based in Amsterdam. He spent three pivotal years as the sole DevOps lead for Jamf School, where he modernized CI/CD with ArgoCD and Jenkins, migrated multi-account AWS to Terraform/Terragrunt, and introduced Backstage to streamline developer experience across 100+ repos. His work delivered measurable outcomes—15% annual AWS cost savings, a 75% reduction in delivery time, SOC2 readiness, and self-service infrastructure for multiple teams. Comfortable across Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions, Python and Bash, he blends deep technical execution with coaching: mentoring engineers, running a DevOps Community of Practice, and embedding DevOps as a company-wide practice. Beyond work he pursues endurance and discipline through running, yoga, and Dutch-style kickboxing, and has explored blockchain development via Cardano and EVM/Solidity courses.
