Top SchoolOmar Shibli is a seasoned software engineer and hands-on tech leader with 11 years of experience building scalable, cloud-native systems across networking, adtech, healthcare and fintech. He combines strategic product thinking with deep execution skills—designing microservices, data pipelines, and high-throughput platforms while leading cross-functional teams in fast-growth startups and established companies like Wix and Zocdoc. Omar has driven measurable performance gains (10–100x search improvements, 2–3x regex speedups, and major RPS scaling) and led architecture initiatives including Open Banking, Keycloak-based identity, and Apache Druid analytics POCs. A former CTO/cofounder, he brings entrepreneurial instincts and open-source sensibilities (contributing algorithmic fixes to the Aho-Corasick library) to production-grade engineering. Based in Israel, he’s an “engineer, hacker, humanist” who thrives on translating complex requirements into resilient, efficient systems.
