Top SchoolOpe Mesonrale is a founder and lead AI engineer with nine years of experience designing production-grade backend and AI infrastructure, now based in Lagos. He built and shipped Dabira—a self-hosted AI data assistant that translates natural language into optimized SQL and streams real-time insights while prioritizing data privacy and performance. His background spans microservices, Kafka event streams, NestJS backends, and React frontends, with hands-on experience fine-tuning LLaMA models and integrating GPT-4o-mini for transactional analytics. Ope has a track record of rapidly taking systems from concept to production (Dabira launched in under four months) and optimizing model cost, latency, and observability for enterprise use. He blends a mechanical engineering foundation and an MIT postgraduate degree in IT with practical fintech and telemedicine product experience, uniquely positioning him to bridge rigorous engineering with applied AI. Outside core engineering, he’s built agentic automation and MCP tooling to let teams query databases securely with natural language—an often overlooked but impactful focus in his work.
