Top SchoolOpiyo Sebastian is a Senior Software Engineer based in Nairobi with nine years of hands-on experience building and securing production software, currently focused on SRE and development at Kenya Power. He blends a strong academic foundation—a near-complete MSc in Information Security and a background in criminology and forensics—with practical expertise in AWS data pipelines, automation, web scraping, and secure software delivery. At USIU-A he taught ethical hacking, mentored AppFactory cohorts, and translated faculty research into working prototypes, demonstrating an unusual mix of pedagogy, product ownership, and engineering. Known for crafting, testing, and hardening software, he also brings forensic-style attention to detail from earlier forensic investigation work, which strengthens his approach to threat modelling and incident response.
