Oriol Orra is a robotics engineer based in Barcelona with a decade of technical experience bridging telecommunications and autonomous systems. Trained in Telecommunications Engineering at UPC and holding a Master's in Robotics, he developed a Java-based TETRA network simulator used by RESCAT Offices to model real-world emergency communications. More recently he has focused on mobile robotic platforms, integrating multi-sensor suites for autonomous navigation as part of a collaborative master's project and working as an R&D robotics engineer at ABB. Oriol combines systems-level thinking from telecoms with hands-on robotics integration, making him adept at turning simulation and prototype work into operational tools. He brings a practical orientation to complex mechatronics problems and a track record of delivering software that informs real-world decision making.
