Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolOrlin Vasilev is a cloud-native infrastructure and open-source community leader with nine years of professional experience, blending deep Linux/Unix systems expertise with hands-on platform engineering. He has driven community growth and contributor onboarding for projects like k3s, Harbor, and Velero, and served as a release-team contributor for Kubernetes, bridging users and maintainers to improve documentation and feedback loops. Formerly a Principal Open Source Technology Advocate at SUSE and a senior engineer at VMware, he brings practical experience designing and operating private and hybrid clouds alongside strong mentorship and content-creation skills. Based in Sofia, he pairs a lifelong curiosity for Linux (Slackware early adopter) with a craftsman’s attention to detail—applying woodworking-like precision to code and community building. Still an avid guitarist, he balances technical leadership with a creative, hands-on outlook that helps him connect with diverse developer communities.
