Top SchoolOscar Baechler is a multidisciplinary 3D artist, author, and educator with eight years of focused experience in Blender, game art, and visual storytelling. He authored Blender 3D by Example (2nd ed.), highlighting Blender 2.8 features like Eevee and Grease Pencil, and has contributed educational content for major publishers. As an adjunct professor at Lake Washington Institute of Technology and founder of the long-running Seattle Blender User Group, he blends classroom pedagogy with community-driven workshops. His one-person studio, Baechler Creative, has delivered game assets, medical and business visualizations, and animation pipelines for clients such as Oracle and US Seafoods. A relentless experimenter, he combines practical production tools—Kinect mocap, light probes, 3D printing, Unity, and traditional painting—to prototype new workflows and compositions. Based in Seattle, he’s equally comfortable shipping full CG pipelines and demystifying Blender for beginners and seasoned artists alike.
