Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolOscar Calvo is a senior software engineer with over two decades of experience and 11 years focused at Microsoft building core developer tools and scalable Windows infrastructure. He owned and modernized critical build systems (build.exe/MSBuild) that process petabytes daily and led migrations from on-prem services to cloud, improving developer productivity and EO-compliance. His work spans UI and media subsystems—shipping XAML rendering and MediaPlayer improvements including accessibility-focused closed captioning—and earlier contributions include CodeLens, large-scale unit testing frameworks, and the Fakes testing feature. Now at Apple working on AppleTV for Windows, he brings deep C++, .NET, and systems engineering expertise to cross-platform media experiences. Trained with a Master’s in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Costa Rica, he combines enterprise-grade engineering discipline with a knack for pragmatic modernization. Colleagues would note his unusual mix of low-level build-system mastery and product-facing UI/media innovation.
