Senior🎓
Top SchoolØyvind Henriksen is an assistant professor and near-complete PhD in educational leadership who combines two decades of experience across school administration, teaching, research and education statistics. His work probes the tension between school superintendents and leadership teams, investigating whether management dialogue can positively shape classroom practice. He has served in roles from senior executive officer at the Ministry of Education to project leader for municipal school transitions and advisor on cultural and educational statistics, giving him rare cross-sector insight into policy, data and practice. Based in Kongsvinger, Norway, he pairs a background in political science and pedagogy with interests in moral philosophy, bringing both empirical and ethical lenses to school leadership research. An unusual strength is his ongoing parallel career as a practicing high school teacher while completing doctoral research, keeping his scholarship tightly connected to classroom realities.
