Summary
👤
SeniorOzan Akman is a senior full-stack engineer based in Leipzig with 11 years of experience delivering product-focused backend systems for large, multi-country platforms. He has a strong track record in backend architecture, real-time systems, and performance-driven solutions, having built everything from OAuth2 servers and telephony integrations to complex travel and e-commerce platforms. Currently at Angi after Instapro’s merge, he consistently owns end-to-end features and drives discovery and experimentation to improve user experience. Comfortable across Node.js/TypeScript, PHP/Laminas, PostgreSQL and Docker, he blends pragmatic engineering with a tinkerer’s curiosity—often breaking things to learn how they work. He also shares his thinking through technical writing, highlighting an interest in teaching and documenting engineering trade-offs. Colleagues rely on him to take on cross-cutting responsibilities that go beyond his job title to ship reliable products.
