Palamayuran Surenthiran is a VP of Software Engineering and seasoned software architect with 11 years of experience building distributed systems and microservices using Java, the Spring ecosystem, and Angular. He led design and delivery of a major US bank’s Open Banking Platform and has deep expertise in API security, OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect, and gateways including Apigee, WSO2 and AWS API Gateway. Comfortable switching between architect and developer roles, he has designed hybrid cloud migrations, Kafka-based streaming platforms, and CI/CD pipelines that materially reduced time-to-market. As a hands-on engineer he has contributed backend integrations to open-source ESB connectors (adding Mailchimp support and refactoring eBay integration), showing practical experience tying enterprise systems to third-party APIs. He combines rigorous threat-aware design—serving on security advisory committees—with a taste for telemetry and analytics platforms that aggregate Apigee, PingFederate, Humio and Dynatrace data. Based in Sewickley, PA, he balances technical leadership with continual learning in emerging architecture trends.
