Páll Helgason
Summary
👤
SeniorPall Helgason is a Distinguished Engineer and entrepreneur based in Iceland with 13+ years of professional experience building web, back-end and cloud solutions. He blends deep systems and database expertise—Java, SQL, C/C++—with hands-on cloud platform work (CloudStack, Qstack) and a history of leading teams and products at NetApp and Greenqloud. As owner and COB of Illuminati ehf and now leading Redstapler ehf, he pairs technical craftsmanship with long-term operational ownership and product accountability. Pall has moved between senior IC roles and engineering leadership, directing ANF/CVS initiatives that required both architecture and delivery oversight. Trained in industrial mathematics at NTNU, he brings analytical rigor to distributed systems and storage challenges. An uncommon strength is his simultaneous fluency in low-level languages and cloud orchestration, enabling him to bridge kernel-level performance concerns with scalable cloud services.
