Top SchoolPatrick Kidney is a Senior Product Designer based in Vancouver with six years of hands-on experience shaping commerce and SaaS experiences at companies including Shopify, Noibu, and Owner.com. He blends industrial and product design training from Carleton University with digital product practice, bringing a strong sense of craft and systems thinking to UX and visual design. At Shopify he progressed from intern to senior designer, shipping features for high-growth merchant platforms and learning to design for scale and operational constraints. More recently he applied that experience to e-commerce recovery and owner-focused product work, demonstrating an ability to move between merchant-facing interfaces and internal tooling. Patrick’s background in industrial design and early architecture-inspired internships gives him a practical, prototype-oriented approach that surfaces elegant, buildable solutions. He is known for turning complex product requirements into clear, usable flows while balancing aesthetics with measurable business impact.
