Top SchoolPaul Shelley is an iOS-focused software engineer and entrepreneur with 11 years of experience building mobile apps and embedded firmware, currently running a boutique manufacturing business in Salt Lake City. He combines deep iOS expertise—modernizing Objective-C apps to Swift and shipping high-rated payment apps—with low-level firmware work for the Swift-for-Arduino project, bridging language-level efficiency and hardware access. Paul taught himself CNC milling, CAD/CAM, and end-to-end manufacturing operations to bring physical products from raw material to finished goods, reflecting a rare full-stack hardware-to-software skillset. He favors Lean and Agile approaches, rapid prototyping, and simplifying complex systems into beautiful, usable experiences. Known for mentoring others and running cross-disciplinary teams, he brings pragmatic engineering paired with a maker’s curiosity about how people connect to technology.
