Senior🎓
Top SchoolPaulo De Aragao is a bilingual GIS-focused software analyst and designer with over 8 years of hands-on experience delivering geospatial solutions for telecom and utility domains, currently contracting for Proximus in Belgium. With a Master’s in Computer Science focused on GIS and a background that includes doctoral research in 3D GIS visualization, he blends deep spatial-data expertise with end-to-end software delivery—from architecture and UML design to implementation and testing. He has led versioned spatial database designs using Oracle Spatial/Workspace Manager, implemented OGC services (WMS/WFS), and built OpenLayers/Cesium-based tooling, including two open-source React components for 2D and 3D web mapping. Comfortable across AutoDESK, MapInfo, GeoServer and PostGIS stacks, he’s known for solving complex address-matching and migration challenges and creating practical tools like a GeoMapping Tool for manual reconciliation. Multilingual and musically inclined, Paulo brings both technical rigor and creative curiosity to long-term, cross-cultural projects.
