Senior🎓
Top SchoolPavel Abolmasov is a results-driven software engineer with 12 years of experience building backend-first web applications, primarily in Ruby and Java, and leading teams in remote-first environments. He combines deep hands-on Ruby expertise—currently improving Workato’s Connector SDK—with full-stack experience in payments, AWS, PostgreSQL and modern JS frameworks like React and Vue. Pavel has successfully architected low-downtime payment migrations and modular, gateway-agnostic payment flows for marketplaces, and has transitioned from senior IC to team lead roles while learning the people-management side of leadership. Comfortable shipping both code and operational tooling (Docker, Dokku) and mentoring distributed teams, he prefers remote-only senior or team lead roles focused on Ruby/Rails rather than JS- or Java-only positions. An academic background in applied mathematics and partial PhD work underpins his analytical approach to software design and system architecture.
