Top SchoolPavel Popov is a Principal Engineer based in Amsterdam with 13 years of experience building data-intensive systems and end-to-end product delivery at Vio.com. He blends deep data engineering and architecture expertise—Snowflake, SQL, Scala/Spark, Kafka—with modern backend development in Go, Python, and extensive AWS, driving search and analytics improvements in production. His background spans petabyte-scale offline analytics, ETL and DWH leadership in finance, and early research training (PhD-level physics) that informs a rigorous, measurement-driven approach to systems.
