Top SchoolPedro Gomes is a seasoned technology leader and CTO with 11 years of experience building and scaling fintech and lending platforms across Europe and Africa. Based in Porto, he combines deep academic training (PhD in Computer Science) with hands-on engineering, having led engineering teams at Seedstars, SimplePay, Lendigo and QuickCheck and overseen PCI-DSS payment gateway and SME lending platform deliveries. He is comfortable toggling between strategic leadership and code-level improvements—demonstrated by backend contributions to an open-source Django-React-Redux starter where he increased test coverage and hardened user management flows. Known for operating in high-growth, regulated environments, he blends product-minded architecture with practical engineering processes to accelerate time-to-market. Colleagues value his track record of turning research rigor into production-grade systems that prioritize security, reliability and measurable business outcomes.
