Peter Bruun is a retired engineering and operations leader with over 25 years of project management experience and 14 years managing mixed white- and blue-collar teams across rail, power generation, and infrastructure. He has deep technical expertise as a Principal Surveyor and independent safety assessor with DNVGL, specializing in railway operational safety, PED inspections, and O&M of complex systems including the Copenhagen Metro, power plants and wind farms. Peter led metro technical configuration and safety as Technical Manager—responsible for automated train control, SCADA, traction power and regulatory liaison—and has run large utility departments overseeing thousands of kilometers of rail and dozens of power sites. He combines hands-on engineering (boiler, steam piping, gas turbines and CHP systems) with high-level organisational development, financing and contracting experience. Now retired in Copenhagen, he applies his practical problem-solving to DIY projects and travel while maintaining a deep network in rail safety and technical inspection. An uncommon strength is his blend of frontline technical verification (SIO/CMC/PED) with senior managerial accountability for safety, finance and delivery.
