Peter Rochford is a retired Ph.D. physicist and seasoned technical leader who has spent 31+ years translating advanced science into robust software and operational capability for government and commercial customers. As a former Parsons Fellow and Principal Research Scientist he led the enterprise rollout of ParsonsGPT to 18,000+ employees and managed multi-million dollar modeling projects for electric power grids and defense agencies. He founded and ran Symplectic, LLC to deliver end-to-end solutions from algorithm development and first-principles simulation to proposal support and technical translations, and has a track record of creating new business lines via captured DoD contracts. His hands-on background spans large legacy codebases (Fortran, C++, Java), HPC real-time systems, and coastal/oceanographic and atmospheric modeling that produced multiple peer-reviewed publications. Peter is now retired and writing a science textbook on group theory with physical applications, a project that reflects his long-standing blend of deep theoretical insight and practical engineering. Based in Virginia, he combines mentoring and executive advising experience with a rare ability to move between research, product development, and business capture.
