Peter Wilson is a retired system architect and entrepreneur with nearly four decades of experience designing embedded-to-cloud systems, running his own software company for 20 years, and delivering mission-critical solutions for clients including TfL, government bodies and Bletchley Park Trust. He has patented innovations, won a British Design Council award, and specialized in reusable software and hardware-software integration across high-volume networking products and real-time communications stacks. Most recently he led development of partner applications for an in-house PBX using Node.js, PostgreSQL, WebRTC and Chrome extensions, and before retirement ran a successful digital agency product, CommsBox. Outside technology he pursued a parallel life as an award-winning aerialist and instructor—an unusual blend of precision engineering and performance that reflects his practical creativity and appetite for continual learning. Now based in Welwyn Hatfield, he’s enjoying retirement, family life and improving his silks while occasionally contributing editorially to GadgetSpeak.
