Senior🎓
Top SchoolPhilipp Engel is a Senior Mobile Software Engineer based in Munich with 12 years of hands-on experience building production iOS and Android apps using Swift, Kotlin, SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose. He combines freelance versatility—shipping products for clients like Elgato/Corsair, Deutsche Bahn and MediaMarkt—with leadership experience as former CTO of allRide, where he architected mobile-first backend integrations and rental flows. Philipp has deep expertise in concurrency models (Swift async/await, coroutines), cross-platform SDKs and payment and maps integrations, and he favors clean, maintainable UIs and reliable platform interoperability. His background spans startups to enterprise, from launching a successful Kickstarter hardware product to maintaining multi-country e-commerce apps, showing a rare mix of product sense and low-level engineering. Colleagues rely on him for pragmatic architectural decisions and for turning complex mobile requirements into production-ready, user-centric experiences.
