Top SchoolPiero Maddaleni is a Chicago-based full-stack developer and railway professional with nine years of experience building web apps like Amtraker and Transitstatus while working hands-on across passenger and freight rail operations. He blends practical, safety-conscious field roles—Student Locomotive Engineer, conductor, RCO—with lead developer and consultant positions, bringing rare domain knowledge to transportation software. Comfortable shipping end-to-end systems, he has led Amtraker and consulted for Optakit, applying pragmatic engineering to real-world logistics and rider-experience problems. Piero programs in his spare time and sustains a maker’s mentality—often coding between shifts or “probably on a train somewhere.” His background in community management and diverse front-line jobs gives him a user-centered perspective that informs product decisions and operational integrations. Recruiters can reach him at piero@piemadd.com for opportunities that bridge transit operations and software.
