Top SchoolPiyush Kansal is a Principal Engineer based in Menlo Park with over 13 years of hands-on experience building large-scale distributed systems and leading technical teams across startups and hyperscale companies. He has driven platform and infrastructure vision at Meta—working at the intersection of GenAI speech platforms and Ads event systems—and now brings that systems+ML experience to Veza. His background spans real-time voice/video infrastructure, IoT platforms, and WAN/application performance, with a history of combining hands-on engineering, hiring and mentoring, and long-term architectural leadership. Piyush pairs deep backend expertise (databases, messaging, cloud services) with a knack for shipping production-grade systems that bridge research-heavy ML work and robust distributed engineering. An MS in Computer Science and early work on POSIX thread performance hint at a long-standing focus on latency, scalability and operational rigor.
