Pol Escuder is a computational biologist and AI-focused software leader with eight years of experience translating multi-omics research into production-ready tools and predictive models. As Co-Founder & CTO of Heureka Labs and a former postdoc at Duke, he blends deep learning, clustering, and software engineering to tackle complex biological networks and cancer multi-omics integration. He completed a PhD in Bioinformatics at the University of Barcelona, where he developed FOBI—the first nutritional metabolomics ontology—multiple web apps and two Bioconductor packages published in high-impact journals. Pol’s work sits at the intersection of research and product: he moves experimental insights into reusable software, building pipelines and ontologies that make metabolomics and omics integration more reproducible and interoperable.
