Przemysław Szufel is an associate professor and applied researcher who designs AI-driven decision systems and large-scale computational models, blending expertise in language models, complex networks, and digital twins. He builds and operates national- and cloud-scale modelling infrastructures, regularly leveraging supercomputers and custom cloud stacks, and launched Poland’s first academic cloud computing course in 2016. As President of INFORMS Poland and a co-founder of a VC fund, he combines academic leadership with hands-on startup evaluation and four successful exits, having technically assessed 100+ AI ventures. His technical collaborations with MIT CSAIL and JuliaLab and co-authorship of the Julia 1.0 Programming Cookbook underpin a rare mix of high-performance computing and open-source impact (ranked #2 globally for Julia on Stack Overflow). He co-created SilverDecisions.pl, a decision-support platform with 200,000+ users recognized by the European Commission, and his research (1,100+ citations) spans transport optimization and standardized formats for network science. Clients from the European Commission to central banks rely on his advisory, training, and audits in advanced AI, data science, and large-scale computational systems.
