Summary
👤
SeniorRaaj Sarma is an Analytics Engineer with 8 years of cross-domain experience building production data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, and spatial ML models across cloud environments, currently driving analytics at The Guitar Center Company. He has led data engineering at Packt, migrating legacy cron jobs to Airflow, managing containerized ELT stacks (Airflow, dbt, Meltano) and integrating 20+ SaaS sources to power product and customer insights. His background spans end-to-end ML and data science—deploying temporal and satellite-based air-quality forecasting in AWS SageMaker and creating spatial demographic models using Uber H3/Google S2 for Atlan’s GRID API. Proficient in Python and SQL and comfortable with many languages (Flask/Django, C#, C/C++, Java, Bash), he also experiments with LLMs and vector stores for retrieval and embeddings. Based in Guwahati, he pairs a pragmatic production focus with curiosity—whether optimizing data pipelines or mapping remote-sensing imagery—and recharges with high-altitude trekking and music.
