Top SchoolRabble Henshaw-plath is a veteran technologist and founder with 17+ years building product and engineering teams across startups, nonprofits, and large companies, currently creating diVine, a social video app reviving the 6-second loop format. He blends hands-on Ruby on Rails architecture (early lead developer at Odeo and FireEagle architect at Yahoo) with civic-minded product vision, having helped grow Indymedia and launched multiple open-protocol social initiatives like planetary.social. As a founder and CTO he’s repeatedly moved ideas from prototype to acquisition or scale—founding Cubox, co-founding Crafted Code and Affinity.works, and later leading Verse Communications to advance humane decentralized social networks. Based in Wellington and active in the Edmund Hillary Fellowship, he pairs hacker instincts with activist roots, often choosing experimental, public-interest projects that influence how social platforms evolve. An unconventional technologist who left formal academia, he’s known for turning failures into pivots that seed widely adopted innovations.
