Senior🎓
Top SchoolRadek Lonka is a senior software engineer and innovation technologist with 15+ years building data platforms, backend systems, and research software across industry and academia. He blends industrial discipline from roles at Statkraft, EMGS and Nokia with academic rigor from NTNU, where he helped found the Industrial Ecology Digital Lab and introduced modern DevOps practices into research workflows. Radek specializes in reliable, long-lived architectures for energy, sustainability, and scientific computing, with hands-on experience in HPC, Python, databases, REST APIs and automation. At Statkraft he improved ETRM workflows and integrations, translating trading and analytical needs into stable production solutions and usable tooling such as Excel pipelines and Jupyter notebooks. Comfortable owning end-to-end systems, he thrives at the intersection of engineering and domain expertise, mentoring researchers and developers to deliver reproducible, maintainable software. He is equally at home in production platforms and research clusters — a pragmatic engineer who deliberately bridges openness and operational reliability.
