Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolRafael Beckel is a polyglot software engineer and entrepreneur with 15 years of experience building web, mobile, and GPU-powered systems for clients ranging from HelloFresh and Rakuten to startups like Ready Player Me and Photoroom. Currently a core maintainer of FragmentColor and driving cross-platform graphics work in Rust and wgpu, he blends deep graphics expertise (GLSL/WGSL, Vulkan/Metal/DirectX/WebGPU) with backend and cloud experience in Go, Kafka, and Kubernetes. He has a proven track record founding and scaling product and research efforts—from an early mobile deep learning library for agriculture to high-traffic e-commerce platforms and political campaigns that reached millions. An aggressive generalist and visual artist, Rafael bridges low-level performance engineering and user-facing product design while routinely shipping cross-language bindings (JS, Python, Swift, Kotlin) and WASM tooling. Based in Berlin, he advises on MVPs and team assembly, pairing entrepreneurial instincts with hands-on technical leadership.
