Top SchoolRafael Brasil is a Senior Software Engineer based in Galway with a strong academic foundation—BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in Electrical Engineering focused on image processing—and roughly nine years of professional software experience built atop a longer technical trajectory. He has progressed from developer to technical lead roles across Brazilian and international firms, currently contributing to Kneat Solutions after leadership stints at Localiza, XP Inc., and dtidigital. Rafael blends hands-on backend and web system development with team coaching, Scrum mastery, and client-aligned delivery, consistently translating complex requirements into maintainable systems. Known for a pragmatic "If it works..." approach, he values practical, reliable solutions over unnecessary complexity. His background in image processing hints at strong analytical and signal-processing instincts that inform his software design choices. Comfortable in cross-functional and client-facing settings, he brings both technical depth and people-centered leadership to engineering teams.
